Electro-Photography (Xerography) History
Electro-Photography, or Xerography is a dry photocopying technique invented by Chester Carlson in 1938. It would be 18 years before the technique was released in it’s first commercial form, the Xerox 914 released by Haloid/Xerox in 1960. With the technical advancements over more than 50 years, today’s laser printers employ the same technique but with far faster speed, improved reliability and lower cost.
